What is difference between lease and exclusive license?

NE License – Non-exclusive beat licence is “leased” (Mp3 Lease) to customers/recording artists. Producers retain the right to sell and re-sell the same beats to as many new customers as they desire. Non-exclusive beats are used for demo’s, mixtapes or for promotion on social media sites such as YouTube, iTunes, Mixtapes, etc. With lease license You are allowed to sell song up to 2000 units and You are able to have one (1) commercial use (CD, iTunes, etc.), You will receive non-tagged version of instrumental (beat) in high audio quality. You are not allowed to do profit performances with lease license. You must give credit to producer in song title, for example : Your Name – Name of Song (produced by: Name of Producer – OfficialSounds.com)

NE License – Non-exclusive premium beat licence is “leased” (Premium WAV Lease) to customers/recording artists. EX License – Exclusive beat licence is a permission that grants customer/recording artist exclusive right to use beat for a demo, mixtape, album or radio. Producers can sell exclusive licenses to only ONE customer. Exclusive license gives Your full ownership of beat(s) / instrumental(s) but you cannot resell it. You are allowed to sell unlimited units of song, unlimited commercial use (CD, iTunes, etc.), unlimited profit performances and You will receive instrumental (beat) in high audio quality. Are voice/sound tags removed after purchase?

Yes, all voice tags are removed when you purchase the beat. You will get clean version of beat.

What if someone buys the exclusive rights license after I already bought a non-exclusive rights license to the same beat?

As long as you made the purchase before the exclusive rights being sold off, all your rights remain intact as described on your certificate of licensing. However, you will no longer be able to purchase additional rights to the same beat if the exclusive rights to it has been sold. We encourage you to buy the exclusive rights as soon as you realize you need such rights due to this first-come first-serve policy.

Are there any royalties or back end payments ?

Even if you purchase exclusive license, the producer will get 50% of the writers credit for the completed song when you are registering song for example with any Performance rights organisation such as: BMI, ASCAP, SESAC, etc. You are required to give credit to the producer on your song releases “Produced by: Name of Producer (OfficialSounds.com)”. This usually means 50% of all statutory publishing and mechanical royalties will be paid to the producer of the beat.
